Purple Communications complete install of singlemode fibre network for NDS
Purple Communications are pleased to announce the successful completion of a singlemode fibre network for NDS.
NDS Group Ltd is a private company owned by the Permira Funds and News Corporation. It creates proven technologies that allow pay-TV operators to generate revenues by securely delivering digital content to TVs, set-top boxes (STBs), digital video recorders (DVRs), PCs, portable media players (PMPs), removable media, and other mobile devices.
Purple Comms provided a comprehensive tender response along with Method Statement and Risk Assessment and was awarded the contract to provide a fibre optic network at their offices near Southampton.
This involved installing 48 core singlemode fibre over 5 floors in both buildings and providing a armoured fibre link between the two buildings.
Once the first phase of installing all the fibre optic cable was complete Purple Comms then set about terminating over 800 connections across the site and providing OTDR test results on completion.
